An introduction to Brantridge School

Brantridge School's imposing building is set in the Sussex Weald between Crawley and Haywards Heath, 35 miles from London. It is easily accessed by rail or the M23/M25 motorways.

Brantridge is a residential school, catering for primary aged children (age 6 to 13), who have statements of Special Educational Needs for Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), on a weekly or fortnightly boarding basis. Its excellent facilities are complemented by specialist teaching and individual pupil support, provided by a skilled and experienced staff.

The structured approach to learning and socialising, small teaching groups, therapeutic input and 'outreach' services allow a high level of individual support which has been widely recognised and acclaimed. Boys have access to a broad curriculum, including the full National Curriculum, which leads to impressive outcomes and significant achievements for its pupils including a high rate of successful returns to mainstream settings.

The school is very successful in helping younger boys to overcome their emotional, educational and behavioural problems, and is well known for a high rate of return to mainstream schools (50+% of leavers over the past five years). With full National Curriculum provision (new facilities for Science, IT and Design Technology) and excellent residential facilities in a country house setting, Brantridge also offers good home/school liaison and additional therapeutic input from visiting specialists.
